We Are Hiring
  • Department: Float
  • Schedule: Full Time Day; (3) 12.5 hour shifts
  • Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals
  • Location: Nashville, Murfreesboro and/or McMinnville, TN
    • Must be able to work two or all of the following locations: Saint Thomas West and/or Midtown (Nashville, TN); Saint Thomas Rutherford (Murfreesboro, TN); Saint Thomas River Park (McMinnville, TN).
What You Will Do

Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
  • Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
  • Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
  • Record all observations.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
  • Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
