Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Katy is seeking a Patient Assessment Standards Coordinator to ensure accuracy in patient assessments and timely data submission for Medicare patients. You will educate staff, resolve IRF-PAI coding issues, and drive improvements in data collection to maintain high-quality standards.

As part of a nationwide rehabilitation leader, you will support CMS/UDS reporting, coordinate documentation, and collaborate with the team to optimize CMG/RIC

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified clinician in healthcare
• QI Credentialed
• UDS IRF PPS Certification after 2 years in the PASC role and before the 3rd-year anniversary
• 1 year of healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate data extraction from clinical documentation.
• Coordinate timely submission of data for Medicare patients.
• Educate and support staff on proper documentation.
• Act as primary resource for problem-solving regarding Quality Indicator coding and IRF-PAI completion.
• Improve process of QI coding and data collection for IRF-PAI.
• Ensure IRF-PAI data is entered and transmitted accurately.
• Transmit IRF-PAI data to CMS/UDS within required time frames.
• Review and interpret patient data for IRF-PAI completion.
• Collaborate to identify comorbidities and CMG/RIC categories.
• Ensure discharged records contain required elements.
• Complete chart audits for timely UDS export and CMS transmission.
