Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare business or related field required.
• 2-4 years of medical billing experience required.
• 1+ year supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Windows-based applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise non-clinical personnel (customer service, patient financial specialist, and payment posting specialist).
• Manage communication with patient statement vendor.
• Resolve patient statement issues and oversee patient AR management.
• Task delegation as it relates to workflow processes.
• Coordinate and monitor staffing levels and labor efficiency.
• Manage collection files and maintain daily/weekly/monthly collection metrics.
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and other debt collection laws.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives and foster continuous improvement.
• Mentor colleagues and develop skills, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
