Job Summary

The Patient Advocate provides customers with an extraordinary experience through meaningful interactions and knowledgeable guidance. They foster a compassionate, genuine, and respectful environment, encouraging forward thinking, inclusion, and generosity of spirit. They also support the Management Team with store activities, adhering to policies and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized guidance to customers, explaining the benefits of our cannabis products.
  • Resolve customer questions or concerns promptly and communicate unresolved issues to management.
  • Accurately process customer orders using POS and inventory systems, complying with policies.
  • Maintain an engaging environment by staying active, assisting in stocking and cleanliness, and focusing on the customer experience.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by following the customer sales cycle and suggesting tailored products.
  • Help ensure all procedures meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and promoting curiosity about cannabis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Compliance with all state cannabis policies and regulations.
  • Must meet age requirements set by the state cannabis agency.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Preferred 1-3 years in cannabis retail or related customer service roles.

Skills & Abilities

  • Customer-focused with excellent rapport-building skills.
  • Effective communicator and listener.
  • Results-driven and adaptable learner.
  • Technical proficiency with POS and inventory systems.

Other Details

  • No direct reports.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily in a dispensary setting, which may be odorous and loud, with temperature fluctuations.
  • Frequent contact with staff, vendors, customers, law enforcement, and inspectors.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively about medical conditions and products.
  • Operate computer and POS systems.
  • Remain stationary when checking in customers or operating the register.
  • Transport dispensary products up to 30 lbs.
  • Move, twist, bend, stand, and walk as needed.
