Job summary

Grand Lake Health System in Kentucky is seeking a Registration Clerk to support patient admissions and registration across departments.

You will greet patients and families, obtain signatures, route visitors, verify information for accuracy, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays and to adjust scheduling as needed is required. Experience with insurance knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Admitting/Registration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while pre-admitting, admitting and/or registering, routing, or escorting patients, family, or visitors, serving as entity resource.
• Registers emergency room visits. Registers inpatient and outpatient visits when needed.
• Obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes correctly.
• Checks and rechecks all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.
