Star Valley Health is seeking an admission clerk to ensure smooth patient entry into the hospital in a timely, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role greets patients, collects demographics, insurance details, and co-pays, verifies information, and directs inquiries to the appropriate department, upholding HIPAA and confidentiality.

The position emphasizes teamwork with clinical staff, accurate data entry in Meditech, and delivering a positive first impression to patients and families

Qualifications

• Two plus years of reception/clerical/general office experience.
• Post high school diploma or GED.
• General health care clerical experience preferred.
• Professional customer service with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet external and internal customers entering the clinic in a cordial manner.
• Answer calls, interview and screen office callers, and direct to correct department.
• Admit patients, verify demographics, scan insurance cards and photo ID.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and coordinate with Revenue Cycle on questions.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information daily.
• Represent Star Valley Health positively on campus and in the community.
