Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills; good written and verbal communication.
• Experience with scheduling systems and procedures; prior desk/appointment/secretarial experience preferred.
• Epic RC/EMR experience preferred; HFMA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/admissions/registration of incoming patients in hospital or ED, via in person, phone, or virtual registrations.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance data; create or identify patient accounts; obtain signatures and required forms.
• Assist patients with self-registration; collect co-payments/shares of cost; ensure patient safety with positive ID protocols; obtain necessary consents.
• May assist with Medicaid applications; walk to patients' locations in ED/hospital; adhere to QA guidelines and productivity standards.
