Job summary

The Admissions Registrar at Southern New Hampshire Health collects and verifies demographic and financial information for patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal requirements.

You will handle consents, pre-certifications, and benefit assignments, support shift communications, and collaborate with physicians and staff to provide patient-centered service in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Courses in typing and computer skills; medical terminology preferred.
• Customer service relations and office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, verifies, and documents demographic and financial data for patients.
• Provides patients with information required by federal mandates, e.g., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Care Directives, and Medicare/Campus communications.
• Receives and provides shift report at beginning and end of shifts.
• Obtains consents, assignment of benefits, and releases.
• Obtains information on religious preference and affiliation.
• Supports safe transport of patients.
• Initiates inquiries and ensures receipt of pre-certification and pre-authorization for services.
