Job summary

Qualifications

• Complete CPI training within 6 months of hire and maintain certification thereafter.
• Medical/healthcare business office experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or responsible party to obtain identification and demographics.
• Verify insurance/other payer benefits and perform upfront collections.
• Determine eligibility and arrange patient admission following hospital policies.
• Obtain signatures of individual responsible for payment and explain financial obligations.
• Answer the telephone and direct calls; assist with office supplies and correspondence.
