The role includes verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits, reviewing billing information for accuracy, resolving claim denials and discrepancies, posting payments and adjustments, and maintaining accurate patient accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and submitting medical insurance claims.
• Ability to verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and electronic billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit medical insurance claims and follow up on timeliness of reimbursements.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits accuracy.
• Review billing data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies and denials.
• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
• Maintain accurate patient accounts and ensure confidentiality.

Experienced in verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits, reviewing billing information for accuracy, resolving claim denials and discrepancies, posting payments and adjustments, and maintaining accurate patient accounts. Knowledgeable in medical billing procedures, insurance requirements, CPT and ICD-10 coding, HIPAA compliance, and electronic billing systems. Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
