Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Experience in patient accounts and hospital billing preferred.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a buffer of staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective daily supervision of the work unit.
• Coordinate and control work flow.
• Monitor productivity through reports and observations.
• Compile, maintain and submit management reports.
• Interpret insurance policy provisions for claim adjudication.
• Interpret and apply credit and collection laws to Patient Accounts.
• Communicate billing procedures per Medicare UB-04 and related manuals.
• Recommend policy changes and implement them.
