Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist for the Peaks Regional Office in Colorado. The role focuses on identifying payment details, researching postings, and resolving accounts with attention to HIPAA standards.

Some remote work options may be available per policy. The position requires 1 year of hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle experience, knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing, and the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle (Payment Posting, Billing, Follow-Up, Collections) required.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Identify payment details and save backups as appropriate.
• Research, validate and adjust payment postings.
• Follow up per procedures to resolve accounts.
• Initiate payer recoupments, refunds for payer and patients where applicable.
• Navigate payer claim portals and understand payer functionality.
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Operate computers and office equipment and software.
• Read screens and documents in English.
