The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) aims to protect and promote the health of all residents through its divisions, including the San Francisco Health Network and Population Health. Under general supervision, supervises a unit involved in processing healthcare claims for reimbursement. Responsibilities include monitoring accounts, bills, reports, enforcing policies, tracing and adjusting bills, assisting patients and third-party payors, and supporting the Patient Accounts Supervisor.
Two (2) years of experience in billing, claims processing, or healthcare reimbursement from Medi-Cal, Medicare, insurance, or third-party payors in a healthcare setting. One year of full-time work equals 2,000 hours.

Selection involves a supplemental questionnaire assessing relevant knowledge and skills. Passing score is required to proceed.
