Guidehouse Managed Services LLC is seeking a Patient Account Representative in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on reviewing patient accounts, determining corrective actions, and handling bankruptcy notices to protect card balances and revenue.

Training is onsite with after-training schedules adjusted; candidates should ideally live within 50 miles of the client office. Proficiency with IDX/EPIC/STAR/HealthQuest is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 2 years of relevant experience.
• 0–2 years of healthcare, health insurance, or finance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance or bankruptcy/finance is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts to identify corrective actions before bad debt.
• Review bankruptcy notices to determine if accounts should be filed.
• Verify insurance coverage or contact patients for additional information.
• Perform physician/hospital patient account reviews and billing tasks.
• Work with IDX and HealthQuest software daily.
• Handle a variety of duties independently with minimal supervision.

After training, schedules will adjust.
