Job Summary

Responsible for accurate billing and account collections, obtaining necessary documentation, resolving denied claims, assisting customers with billing questions, and maintaining billing reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify items to be billed by procedure and services performed.
• Obtain documentation for billing and pre-certifications.
• Enter charges, submit bills, and perform daily reconciliations.
• Maintain billing data accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze billing issues to reduce denials and variances.
• Work with system reports and resolve variances, escalating when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with departments, patients, and insurance carriers.
• Follow up on insurance claims and maintain records of appeals.
