Job Summary
As the Patient Accounts Representative, the primary purpose of your job, under the supervision of the Patient Accounts Director, is the timely and accurate filing and follow-up of third-party claims.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a Related Field of Study preferred; Medical Billing and Coding Certification/Diploma preferred.
Experience
2-3 years of previous billing experience in the healthcare industry, including hospital or medical billing, claims processing, or similar functions. Proficiency with PC/computer systems and all phases of billing procedures is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Relevant skills include attention to detail, communication, and knowledge of billing processes.
