Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Patient Account Registrar for Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. This per diem, night-shift role interviews patients to obtain demographics and insurance information, and secures eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.

You will work with the Admitting department and other areas, input data accurately, and communicate with patients across age groups while maintaining medical terminology proficiency. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Services experience required.
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
