Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Patient Account Registrar for Per Diem night shifts (11 PM – 7:30 AM). Responsible for interviewing patients, collecting demographics, securing insurance information, and coordinating with Admitting. Requires hospital experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).

Responsibilities

• Interview the patient or his/her representative to obtain patient demographics.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Work closely with all facets of the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate with the population served using age-specific techniques from neonatal to geriatrics.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
• Special projects or other assignments may be completed within a specified timeframe.

Pay Transparency

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $18.00/HR. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
