Saint Clare's Health in Denville, NJ, is seeking a Scheduler to organize tests and procedure cases across clinics and hospital units. The role involves coordinating with departments, verifying patient demographics, insurance authorizations, and ensuring timely, accurate scheduling.

You will prepare and distribute the surgical schedule and on-call lists, supporting departments to meet timelines while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 year previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Services experience required.
• Strong clerical and computer skills.

Responsabilités

• The scheduler routinely schedules tests/procedure cases for all patients where services occur as a scheduled event. This may include, but is not limited to; Clinic visits, Surgery, G.I. Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Nutritional Services, Infusion units or any other location where scheduling of a test or procedure may occur. Coordinates with departments as necessary. Ensures that accurate, complete and thorough patient demographics are entered into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations if applicable. Notifies departments as necessary of various services that may require, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries. Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel.

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $15.92/Hr. to $20.50/Hr. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
