Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Technician in the outpatient Rehabilitation department. You will help enroll patients, answer phones, and support the therapy team with hands-on care in a per diem capacity.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and BLS certification; prior healthcare customer-facing experience is preferred. Per diem schedule includes a minimum of two shifts per month and day shifts.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.

As a Therapy Aide/Patient Access Technician, you will:

• Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language
• Assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed
• Maintain the department's cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies
• Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructedHave additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred Associate degree in a health-related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule

Employment Type: Per Diem

Compensation

This position is per diem at a rate of $20/hour
Pay Range: If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
