Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Germantown, MD is seeking a Patient Access Technician for the Outpatient Rehab Team to enroll patients, capture accurate clinical and demographic information, and coordinate scheduling.

This full-time day shift role (9:00am–6:00pm) offers an hourly wage in the mid-to-upper range, comprehensive benefits, and a faith-based workplace focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Associate degree in health-related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means.
• Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language.
• Assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed.
• Maintain the department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies.
• Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
