Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks a Service Access Team Leader within the Patient Revenue Management Office (PRMO). This role oversees patient registration tasks, manages appointment scheduling, and ensures accurate demographic and insurance updates.

Based at multiple clinics in Holly Springs, Apex, and Cary, the position requires strong communication, team leadership, and adherence to privacy and billing policies; typical hours are 7:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday with no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Four years of experience in a healthcare setting; degrees may substitute for experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication mandatory.
• Basic PC skills including data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review listing of today’s patients and next day patients (DAR) and complete required prep.
• Manage clinic work queues following policies; clear missing registration items; handle referrals and orders.
• Obtain Imprest cash bag.
• Identify operational improvements to maximize efficiency and communicate opportunities to management.
• Perform other related clerical duties as assigned by the Service Access Manager.
