Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a dedicated manager for the Emergency Department Registration to oversee patient access operations in Fayetteville, NC during evenings. You will supervise staff, coordinate payroll/time records, and present performance reports to leadership while ensuring data integrity and compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hospital Patient Access experience required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and coordinates the daily activities of the Patient Access personnel to produce successful outcomes.
• Maintains and prepares payroll time records and reports.
• Interviews and recommends applicants for employment.
• Prepares and presents performance reports to Leadership and others as necessary.
• Assist with coverage of Patient Access areas when shortages occur and cross trains in all areas of Patient Access.
• Provides leadership and support to all areas of patient access and is expected to be available to address any issues.
• Conducts audits of employees work ensuring the data in the systems are accurate and complete.
• Collaborates with management in continuous process improvements.
• Provide training and education on policies, procedures, and systems.
• Completes and conducts yearly evaluations.
• Facilitate monthly department meetings and attend leadership meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
