Job summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Admissions/Patient Access, the role handles employee, patient and visitor concerns, enforces communication, and ensures efficient day-to-day operations of the department.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency required; college coursework preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in medical/management/supervisory and Admissions/registration.
• Knowledge of third party payors (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial) and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Admitting Department and provide leadership in the absence of the Manager.
• Train departmental staff and address employee, patient and visitor concerns with escalation as needed.
• Ensure processes, policies, and effective communication; run the department efficiently.
