What You'll Do:
  • Supervise Daily Operations:

    • Ensure coverage and timely response to patient and provider inquiries.

    • Monitor workflows for efficiency and patient satisfaction.

  • Scheduling and Referral Oversight:

    • Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of appointments with internal providers.

    • Review and manage the referral intake process from external providers.

    • Resolve scheduling conflicts and complex referral issues.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support to access staff.

    • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance check-ins.

    • Train new team members and support ongoing staff development.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Monitor call volumes, wait times, and scheduling metrics.

    • Identify areas for improvement in access procedures and recommend changes.

    • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline access workflows.

  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all scheduling and referral processes comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.

    • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy in data entry and appointment booking.

    • Handle escalated patient complaints related to access.

  • Reporting and Communication:

    • Track and report performance metrics to leadership.

    • Communicate updates on provider availability, scheduling templates, and policy changes to staff.

    • Serve as a liaison between access staff and other departments.

What You'll Bring:
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient access or related field
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records and scheduling systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on customer service and patient care
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, insurance, and reimbursement procedures
