Responsibilities

• Accurately inputs data elements for scheduling and registration.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains required authorizations.
• Calculates and collects estimated patient portion and prior balances.
• Assists in financial assessments for program eligibility.
• Obtains patient/legal guardian signatures on documents as needed.
• Represents Patient Access in a professional, courteous manner.
• Supports department during disasters and variable patient volumes.
• Strives to meet performance targets and complete required training.
• Maintains standard processes and 5S workplace practices.
• Coordinates workflow and communicates needs for fluctuating volumes.
• Provides feedback to identify educational or mediation needs.
• Adapts assessments and services to population-specific needs as required.
• Takes responsibility to ensure policy compliance and confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
