Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the computer system accurately and timely.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information and enters it into the system.
• Explains required forms to patients and guarantors and collects signatures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and notifies as needed within timeframes.
• Posts payments in the system and generates patient receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, departments, insurers, patients, and families.
