Job summary

Adventist Health in Glendale, CA is seeking a Patient Access associate to perform timely patient registration, interview patients for account information, verify insurance coverage, and collect patient liability amounts. You will ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment and correctly attach physician orders to records.

You will also print and collate required paperwork, and escort patients to the appropriate area or refer to an available escort as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical degree or related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical records to ensure accurate tests.
• Verify insurance, research and enter authorization information as needed.
• Explain policies clearly to patients and answer questions.
• Print and collate paperwork for each patient and distribute to the appropriate unit.
• Escort patients to their area or refer to available escort as needed.

Education
