Job summary

Adventist Health Los Angeles seeks a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to register patients accurately, verify insurance, collect patient liability, obtain necessary signatures for treatment, and attach physician orders to the patient record for proper test delivery.

You will prepare and distribute paperwork and assist with escorting patients as needed, in a full-time/ per diem setting within the Patient Access team.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical records to ensure correct tests.
• Verify insurance and research to ensure accuracy when verifying benefits and enter authorization information as needed.
• Follow guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
