Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a staff member in Portland, OR to handle patient registration and insurance verification during the day shift. The role requires collecting patient information, verifying insurance, calculating patient liability, and obtaining necessary signatures for treatment.

You will also prepare and distribute paperwork for each patient and escort or refer patients to appropriate areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
