Qualifications

• No education requirement
• Life support certification may be required depending on position level
• No prior experience required

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments, follow-up appointments, and assigns visit length per physician request
• Registers patients for medical care including laboratory, outpatient services, physician or other medical office
• Pre-registers patients when needed
• Collects and confirms demographics, current employer, emergency contact, insurance and case-specific information
• Verifies insurance eligibility for governmental payors (Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare)
• May complete Medicare Secondary Payor Questionnaire for all Medicare eligible patients
• Reviews patient accounts for outstanding balances and forwards to Accounting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
