Job summary

IHA is seeking a dedicated healthcare data analyst for a full-time evening shift in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, reporting, and supporting performance improvement initiatives in a high-volume healthcare environment.

You will prepare analytical reports, synthesize data, and present findings to leadership to inform decision making. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and relevant certifications; additional qualifications cover medical terminology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.
• Medical terminology knowledge required; knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding is a plus.
• Insurance verification with ability to explain benefits and obtain authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Researches, collects & analyzes information. Identifies opportunities, develops solutions, and leads through resolution.
• Collaborates on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience.
• Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
• Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials; ensure quality, confidentiality & safety.
