Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a per diem Patient Access Representative to manage the registration process for patients in outpatient and Emergency Department locations. The role involves demographics, orders, insurance verification, and cash collections while ensuring a smooth patient journey.

The position supports cross-training across locations, promotes MyChart usage, and coordinates with SLPG practices and revenue cycle teams to optimize access and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; health care field certificate/degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to type fluently and accurately.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; Epic health information system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify/validate patient selections in the hospital information system to maintain EMR accuracy.
• Identify and report any suspected patient identity theft to clinical leadership for escalation.
• Maintain knowledge of network policy on patient identification, including merging and chart corrections.
