Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle patient registration in outpatient and Emergency Department locations, verify insurance eligibility, and manage real-time billing and scheduling tasks.

The role may involve travel between campuses to support multiple sites. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong customer service and computer skills, and familiarity with Epic.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and register patients, transcribe orders, complete registration screens, verify insurance and conduct cash collections.
• Cross train in all areas across locations and be prepared to work in outpatient and Emergency Department settings.
• Greet patients and visitors, provide friendly service, and explain facility processes and MyChart self-service features.
