Boulder Community Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist 2 for Boulder Valley Surgical Associates whoprovides general supervision of front office (reception, clerical, medical records) staff as well asgreets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors.

Qualifications
•High School graduate or GED preferred with additional management courses desired.
•Prefer 3-4 years reception experience, preferable in a medical office setting.
•Prefer 1-year supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
•Supervises front office staff; ensures office systems run efficiently and effectively.
•Trains and orients front office personnel.
•Provides clinic manager with input regarding staff performance for evaluations, promotion, and disciplinary actions.
•Responsible for work assignment and daily operations of front office staff.
•Ensures adequate staffing to cover for vacations and illnesses.
•Resolves problems/conflicts and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
•Ensures that staff is productive and view the clinic in a positive working environment.
•Assists clinic manager with creating/updating job descriptions as necessary.
•Coordinates front desk staff meetings as needed.
•Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
•Checks patients; verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record and into computer. Checks out patients.
•Collects payments from patients.
•Assists patients with questions about their accounts.
•Escort patient to exam room or lab when needed.
•Closes Cash Drawer at close of business
•Schedules patient appointments in the HER, following office scheduling policies.
•Maintains lobby in neat and orderly manner.
•Answers phone, screens calls, takes messages and provides information.
