AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a compassionate healthcare access associate to ensure thorough financial assessments for patients. This role involves performing cashiering duties, ensuring the accuracy of patient registration, and maintaining compliance with regulatory policies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of customer service experience, a preferred associate degree in Health Services Administration, and must be bilingual in English and Spanish. A supportive environment is offered with a focus on holistic care.

Ensures all financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits memos are clear, updated, and thorough to support post-care financial needs. Performs cashiering functions, such as daily batching and cash reconciliation, with accuracy. Uses utmost caution to ensure authorizations and pre-certifications are correct to avoid rejections and/or denials. Maintains current and thorough knowledge of online eligibility and pre-certification tools. Achieves productivity standards by monitoring patient tracking boards to proactively identify patients requiring registration. Reviews all collection reports timely as assigned by leadership. Meets or exceeds upfront collection standard goals to protect the financial standing of AdventHealth. Creates accurate good faith estimates to maximize up‑front cash collections and adds collection documentation where required. Properly identifies patients, ensures armband accuracy, inputs demographic information, and secures required forms. Facilitates timely discharge and maximizes reimbursement. Works patient accounts regarding insurance identification, selection, and required protocols. Registers patients for services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory policies. Other duties as assigned.
