Job summary

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Binghamton. You will greet patients, manage appointments, verify information, and handle registrations in the EMR. You’ll collect copays, confirm coverage, and assist the Care Team with referrals and follow-ups.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of clerical experience. Travel may be required for training and coverage purposes. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Clerical and front desk duties such as registering patients, scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Accurate data entry and patient information verification in the EMR/practice management system.
• Attention to insurance details, copay collection, and referral tracking.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and responds to requests with courtesy and respect.
• Schedules, changes, and cancels appointments; verifies upcoming visits.
• Verifies patient information and collects required documentation at registration.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and PCP; documents details in the EMR.
• Collects copayments and visit payments; refers unresolved copayments to Billing Coordinator.
• Participates in Care Team and Quality Improvement activities.
• Follows up on referrals and tracks notes until completion.
• Maintains waiting area cleanliness and ensures smooth daily operations.
• Confirms next day’s appointments and completes necessary DNKA follow-ups.
