Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to float across Mason Rd, Chesterfield, and South County locations. The role is Mon - Fri 10:00am-6:30pm, focusing on patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and collecting payments.

You will represent BJC with exceptional customer service, maintain HIPAA and MSP compliance, and help maximize reimbursements while protecting patient records. A strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for patients, representing BJC with exceptional customer service.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance and collect payments.
• Understand MSP, HIPAA, EMTALA and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hospital registration and scheduling within multiple BJC systems; verify patient identity and scan documents.
• Validate complete orders, ensure correct tests are ordered and educate patients on financial responsibilities.
• Communicate preparation instructions and collect applicable patient payments.
• Ensure compliance with MSP, HIPAA, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and related regulations; mentor newer staff.
