Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to float among Mason Rd, Chesterfield, and South County locations. The role handles hospital registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and at-service collection, with emphasis on accurate MPI selection and patient-centered service.

The position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and knowledge of Medicare guidelines and HIPAA. Hours are Mon–Fri 10:00am–6:30pm and safety-sensitive duties apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree is preferred.
• Experience: <2 years; 2-5 years preferred.
• License/Certification CHAA required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital registration and scheduling across multiple BJC systems; verify insurance and collect payments.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and MSP requirements while handling patient information.
• Communicate clearly with patients about financial responsibilities and test preparation.
