Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Representative to support registration and scheduling activities at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. You will greet patients, collect information, process payments, and help navigate the registration and pre-visit steps with accuracy and empathy.

Working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will verify insurance, confirm demographics, assist with co-pays and ABNs, and schedule appointments while protecting patient

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and MS Office.
• Ability to work in a multitasking, high-volume environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain registration steps clearly.
• Process co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguard payments.
• Verify patient insurance and complete eligibility checks in real time.
• Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment coordination.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure handling of records.
• Support remote or in-person registration and coordinate with clinical staff.
