Job summary

River Hospital is seeking a full-time Central Scheduler for our Patient Access Department to coordinate inpatient and outpatient scheduling and registration across all inpatient and ancillary departments. The role also covers switchboard operations, petty cash handling, and mail distribution, with responsibility for organizing the Admissions office and its records and systems.

Qualifications

• Three years prior experience in a Hospital/Physician Office required.
• Knowledge of insurance, Medicare and Medicaid practices.
• PC and keyboard skills required.

Responsible for switchboard operations, petty cash, mail distribution. Responsible for the organization and management of the Admissions office, its records, files, and necessary systems. Responsible for obtaining and verifying all authorizations for scheduled outpatient procedures and inpatient admissions.
