Job summary

Baptist Health in Florida is seeking an Emergency Department Patient Access representative to support the revenue cycle and patient experience.

Responsibilities include registration, financial screening, verification, and pursuing individual collection goals, in a fast-paced setting. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and strong customer service, with bilingual English/Spanish/Creole preferred. This is essential staff work with potential weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent training.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Must pass Patient Access training.
• Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle environment.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA.
• Familiarity with insurance contracts and pre-certifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete varied duties to support revenue cycle, compliance, and patient experience.
• Register patients and verify financial screening and verification.
• Meet individual collection goals.
• Collaborate with clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience.
• Work weekends/holidays and during emergencies as essential staff.
