Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an RCS Team Lead to oversee Patient Access operations at Bedford Hospital, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with on-call nights and weekends. This leadership role ensures quality, efficiency, and a positive patient experience across the revenue cycle team.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of IU Health Revenue Cycle Services experience.
• Expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations.
• High level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
• Ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or Healthcare Operations experience preferred.
• Prior leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and patient access systems.
• Ability to analyze reports, identify trends, and drive performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access operations to ensure efficient workflows and exceptional customer service.
• Serve as the first point of contact for operational questions, concerns, and workflow issues.
• Assist leadership in identifying and resolving operational barriers impacting patient access and experience.
• Promote compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor team productivity, quality, attendance, and performance metrics.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to help team members meet goals.
• Escalate performance concerns and trends to leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure registration standards and financial clearance processes are met.
• Generate and analyze operational reports related to productivity and KPIs.
• Lead onboarding and training of new team members.
