Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a RCS Team Lead for Bedford Hospital, onsite, Monday through Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with on-call nights and weekends. You will lead Patient Access teams, ensure quality processes, and coordinate daily work to improve patient experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with Indiana University Health Revenue Cycle Services strongly preferred.
• Requires expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Patient Access operations to ensure efficient workflows and exceptional customer service.
• Serve as the first point of contact for team members regarding operational questions, concerns, and workflow issues.
• Assist leadership in identifying and resolving operational barriers that impact patient access, registration accuracy, and patient experience.
• Promote compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain department schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Monitor staffing needs and adjust schedules to meet operational demands.
• Coordinate shift coverage, schedule changes, and staffing assignments.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation and provide leadership support during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Monitor team member productivity, quality, attendance, and performance metrics.
• Utilize reporting tools to track individual and team performance against established goals.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to help team members achieve performance expectations.
• Escalate performance concerns and trends to leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with registration standards, insurance verification requirements, consent completion, financial clearance processes, and other departmental expectations.
• Review audit findings with team members and provide education and coaching opportunities.
• Track audit results and identify opportunities for process improvement and staff development.
• Generate and analyze operational reports related to productivity, quality, patient access metrics, and departmental goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators and communicate results to leadership.
• Assist with identifying trends and implementing action plans to improve department performance.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Encourage a culture of accountability, teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
