Job summary

Trinity Health in Rockford, MI is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative for the Evening Shift. You will handle outpatient registration, insurance verification, and patient payments with accuracy and care.

Schedule is 26 hours per week on evenings; training first two weeks run Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and attendance is required. You’ll join a team that supports one another, enjoy Day-One benefits (medical, dental, vision, 403(b)), generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, and

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Data entry speed 50–60 keystrokes per minute.
• Basic computer skills demonstrated.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Handle patient financial liability collection and payments.
• Give general information to patients, families, and physician offices.
• Support accurate registration and billing processes.

What you will do:

• Provide patient focused customer service.
• Perform outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions;
• Collect patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
• Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices

What you will need:

• 1 year customer service experience, required
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Data entry skills (50 to 60 keystrokes per minute)
• Basic computer skills
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
• Accuracy and attentiveness to detail and time management skills.

Nice to have:

• Medical terminology
• Knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits, secure necessary authorizations
