The Patient Access Representative works closely with patients, providers, technologists, and other healthcare team members to promote timely access to care, maintain regulatory compliance, support efficient departmental workflows, and create a positive patient experience throughout the scheduling and registration process.
This position is responsible for scheduling diagnostic imaging appointments, registering patients, and ensuring an efficient check-in process. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and provides exceptional customer service while coordinating access to imaging services. Duties include scheduling appointments based on provider orders and department protocols, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, obtaining required authorizations and referrals, and communicating preparation instructions for procedures. During patient check-in, responsibilities include confirming registration information, collecting applicable copayments, obtaining required consent forms, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
This position works either 8 or 10-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am-5:00pm (preferences discussed during interview). No shifts on recognized holidays and there are opportunities to pick up night and weekend shifts for incentive pay.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education helpful.
One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential. Six months' customer service experience desired.
May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.
