**Job Description**

We are hiring a Patient Access Rep II for our Float Pool department. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

**Position Summary**

Responsible for verifying medical necessity, eligibility, and posting payments.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Gather and accurately enter demographic, insurance, and financial information
• Schedule appointments and manage related data entry
• Explain forms and obtain signatures
• Ensure compliance and obtain necessary data and signatures
• Protect financial integrity by collecting payments, establishing payment plans, and reviewing charity applications
• Verify insurance benefits and complete notifications/authorizations
• Post payments and generate receipts
• Communicate professionally with staff, providers, insurance, and patients
• Adhere to policies, manage time and supplies, and maintain accuracy
• Support professional growth, serve as a mentor, and perform additional duties as needed

**Skills and Requirements**

• Ability to multitask
• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills

**Minimum Education & Experience**

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting

**Physical Requirements**

Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.

This position may be security sensitive and is subject to Texas Education Code 51.215. Residency in Texas is required.
