Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet Emergency Department patients, collect demographics, and verify insurance. Qualifications

Screens visitors and releases patient condition information when authorized. Handles routine patient inquiries and problems. Emphasis on excellent customer service skills as well as attention to detail. Familiarity with multiline phone systems preferred.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous switchboard experience and knowledge of hospital systems preferred. Qualified candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, experience with medical terminology, advanced computer skills and excellent customer service.
