Patient Access Representative (Allied Health)

Location: Massachusetts

Schedule Options: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to support smooth front-end operations at a busy outpatient and inpatient hospital setting.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including booster (no exceptions)
  • Must be a local candidate

Experience Needed:

  • Previous experience in a business or clinical setting delivering customer service
  • Familiarity with processing and verifying electronic demographic, financial, or administrative data

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients for visits and explain the intake process
  • Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Assist with kiosk check-ins and maintain accurate financial records
  • Complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires and update coverage details
  • Guide patients through consent forms and financial documentation
  • Educate patients on non-covered services and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Monitor the waiting area to ensure a smooth and welcoming patient experience
  • Follow up on missing registration information for admitted patients
  • Address patient concerns promptly and escalate safety issues when necessary
  • Maintain an organized, confidential, and professional front desk space
