CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Patient Access Representative to guide patients and clinical teams through admission and registration to deliver timely, high-quality care.

As the first point of contact, you will ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compassionate service during check-in, while navigating multiple computer systems and maintaining patient-centered support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED upon hire.
• 1 year relevant experience in healthcare, patient access setting preferred, with knowledge of patient registration procedures, health insurance payers, and real-time insurance eligibility verifications.

Responsibilities

• Accuracy & Data Integrity: Expertly capture and verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure seamless billing and clinical workflows.
• Customer Engagement: Provide a positive, professional experience for patients and families, communicating clearly regarding financial responsibilities and appointment logistics.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA) while efficiently managing high-volume registration, scheduling, and documentation tasks.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve registration discrepancies and know when to escalate complex issues to ensure workflow continuity.

Every day you will act as the first point of contact for patients entering the facility. You will be expected to ensure accuracy, maintain strict confidentiality, and provide compassionate support during the check-in process.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong administrative skills, the ability to navigate multiple computer systems, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Pay Range

$19.05 - $26.91 /hour
